WATERCOLOR 101
Learning the basics with loose shapes and botanicals
During this two-hour workshop, you’ll dive into watercolor through playful, hands-on experiments. You’ll learn how to control water, move pigment around the page, and embrace the surprising nature of the medium. Through practical exercises, we’ll play with shapes and explore transparencies, gradients, color combinations, and basic layering techniques. Finally, we’ll create a loose botanical piece using everything you’ve learned.
If you’ve always wanted to understand how watercolor actually works, this 101 workshop will give you the foundation to feel confident with the medium and keep experimenting on your own.
The course will be conducted by Laura Manteca Martin, creator of Ink Imaginarium and an experienced watercolor artist.
No previous experience is needed, and all materials are provided.

What materials are used in this product?
